The Guinean musician Manecas Costa received 3 nominations at the AFRIMA 2021, considered the Grammys of Africa, as a result of his collaboration with Calema, Pérola and Soraia Ramos on successful song “Kuá Buaru”.  
The Manecas is currently in Luanda accompanying Paulo Flores in a series of live shows and he also participated in Calema's show at Clube S last Sunday, Manecas worked with several well-known international musicians such as Yuri da Cunha, Djodje, C4Pedro, Nelson Freitas, Dino Santiago and the fado singer Ana Moura, among others, having collaborated with them in numerous shows. 
AFRIMA 2021 will take place from November 18th to 21st in Lagos, Nigeria, and Manecas Costa da Guinea-Bissau will secure the nominations in this important celebration of African musical talent, in the categories of “Best African Collaboration” and “Best Group, Duo or Band African”.
Manecas Costa has been considered one of the main ambassadors of Guinea-Bissau's music around the world, having already been featured in a documentary made by the major international television network BBC.
