Mariama Barbosa, was born in Guinea-Bissau, moved to Portugal very young , when she was 5 years old.

She has been working in the fashion industry for 20 years at the agency Show Press, PR Office and Moda Lisboa.

10 years ago she created her Blog MariamacomK where she talks about Fashion in a very relaxed way and shares what she likes and things that motivate her.

Author of the book Só é Feio Quem Quer a book about fashion and tips to buy clothes, accessories at affordable prices.

In 2017, in an interview on RTP AFRICA at the TV programme Conversas ao Sul Mariama said :

“Guinea-Bissau has always been in fashion , is a beautiful and wonderful country. We have the archipelagos of bijagos , we also a wonderful climate and the population is very kind , a place I suggest everyone to visit. I love Guinea Bissau. ”

Mariama also believes that there are many talents in Guinea-Bissau who deserved more recognition.
